Corporate Social Responsibility

The Social Investment Consultancy’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy is based on an annual partnership with a charity, which we advise on a pro bono basis.

To find our pro bono partners, we seek out high-potential organisations which are ambitious to grow. They must have an annual turnover of less than £300,000 and focus on an area that we want to learn more about, so we can build our own knowledge and expertise.

In 2009, we chose to support the UK branch of Odanadi, an international NGO that works to rescue, rehabilitate, and empower victims of human trafficking in India. Over the course of the year, we helped Odanadi UK develop a robust fundraising strategy, to match a well-devised organisational plan for the next three years.

“We feel really lucky that we’ve been able to draw on the support of The Social Investment Consultancy this year. The Social Investment Consultancy has helped us to clarify our fundraising strategy and priorities and in addition have identified other areas of activity that will help us to realise our vision.” Sonay Yusuf, Acting Chair, Odanadi.

For more information, or to make a donation to Odanadi, visit www.odanadi-uk.org.

In 2010, we have chosen to support the UK branch of the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM-UK). UNIFEM works to advance women’s rights and achieve gender equality. Every month we will meet with their Chair to help guide their ambitious 12-month growth strategy. Check our website for updates - or, to support UNIFEM-UK, visit www.unifemuk.org.
