Established in 1692 Coutts Bank is one of the oldest private banks in England but on Wednesday 5th May it played host to some of the newest business ventures in the country; and also some of the brightest. The Social Entrepreneur Funding Event organised by The Funding Network showcased five social enterprises and gave them the opportunity to pitch their ideas to two hundred guests and potential donors. The event was an exceptional success with over £50,000 donated in total. Future First is a social enterprise that was conceived by TSIC as our own corporate social responsibility initiative. It works to revolutionise careers advice in state schools and raise aspirations. Last night it caught the imagination of many generous donors who pledged a total of £12,500.
