As founder of Graff Diamonds, Laurence Graff is one of Britain’s wealthiest men. He is now giving something back to one of the countries that has supplied many of his diamonds. March saw the opening of a Leadership Centre in the Kingdom of Lesotho, a small country land-locked inside South Africa. Graff hopes that the Centre will give Lesotho children opportunities to learn and acquire skills to improve their future. It provides a library and training facilities for both children and adults and is being supported by Help Lesotho, a Canadian-based charity. Graff’s charity the For Africa’s Children Every Time Foundation (FACET), which was launched with a $1m (£650,000) donation, set up the Centre and continues to provide financial support.
