Innovation can occur in the most unlikely of objects, epitomized by Puma’s latest version of the humble shoe box. In collaboration with Puma, fuseproject have spent 21 months studying box fabrication and shipping before launching this new design which aims to transform the supply chain whilst building the Puma brand. The design is a “clever little bag” that sleekly combines the box and bag and removes all the excessive packaging of the traditional shoebox. Of course, in this reduced-carbon age, the 65% reduction in cardboard and reduced consumption of energy, fuel and water in the manufacturing process will achieve a series of green benefits as well as cost savings for Puma.
