Thanks to our work in starting the social enterprise Future First, TSIC was lucky to receive an invitation to today’s social enterprise awards hosted at 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister.
Cabinet Minister Tessa Jowell gave a clear and powerful government commitment to the sector with the announcement that ‘the future is social enterprise’.
The biggest winner on the day was The Social Investment Consultancy’s long-term client, Global Ethics. They won the ‘Best Social Enterprise with Over £1m Turnover’ award. Duncan Goose and Julie Devonshire collected the award and voting will now start to see if they can go on to win the UK-wide prize.
