Welcoming TSIC’s new Analyst Folu Ogunyeye

Tell us a bit about yourself

“I’ve been interested in social impact from a young age: while in secondary school I was elected as a member of the UK Youth Parliament, which taught me a lot about advocating for young people’s best interests and developing solutions. This trend continued at university, where I studied social sciences, gained experience in DEI and international development organisations, and founded a social enterprise to provide digital resources for students navigating the process of starting their careers. I moved to the U.S. after university, where I gained experience in human resources and philanthropic consulting. My passion for social impact is grounded in my community, which has played a major role in my childhood development and access to opportunities.”

Why did you choose to work with TSIC?

“When I returned to the UK, I knew I wanted to deepen my experience in the social sector and gain exposure to a wider variety of social issues and stakeholders. TSIC’s breadth of services across impact investing, evaluation, and DEI felt like a great fit for me to draw on my varied experiences from university and career so far. I was attracted to TSIC’s genuine commitment to DEI, both internally and externally through utilising inclusive methodologies in their work.”

What are you most looking forward to?

“I’m excited to work on projects across TSIC’s service offerings, as this will help me to figure out where I can make the most meaningful impact in my career. I’m also looking forward to seeing how TSIC’s frameworks apply in practice, as well as taking part in the development of new methodologies.”
