Launching TSIC India

We are happy to announce that The Social Investment Consultancy (TSIC) is launching its India operations with Pooja Menon joining the team and leading the India Business from Bengaluru. TSIC in the past has worked in India, and is looking forward to increase our engagement in the region with this new addition to our team. We asked her a few questions about her background and her role at TSIC.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I am a Social Development professional with over 10 years experience in social research and social consulting. During the course of my career, I have worked closely with communities, Corporates, Funding agencies and Impact investors. I have been involved in numerous projects with a focus on ESG Safeguards as a Social specialist across sectors spanning from Renewables, Manufacturing and Infrastructure. Impact and ESG funding and their influence on Corporates to improve their environmental and social performance considerations interests me. I also keenly follow the social enterprise space and how they are increasingly changing conversations and thoughts about how businesses should be conducted.

I have a Masters in Public Policy from UCL, University of London and an MBA from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

Why did you choose to work with the TSIC?

I have been following the work of TSIC for the last few years and for a boutique consulting firm, TSIC is at the forefront of conversations and activities on social change making. TSIC has an impressive portfolio of work on CSR and impact investing strategies and impact readiness for NGOs that closely resonate with my professional aspirations. Also, I did not want to miss the entrepreneurship opportunity presented to start a franchise of TSIC, a consulting firm with a global presence and a highly talented team.

What will the new India Chapter hope to achieve?

The new Business Unit of TSIC in India, definitely aims to expand and deepen the TSIC presence and work in India and South East Asia. I believe, the highly evolved tools and methodologies of TSIC to advice Foundations and NGOs in India for positive social impacts will be in much requirement in the market and therefore aiming to bring world class expertise to the social impact scene in India.
