We are looking for our next analyst!

We are excited to be looking for an analyst to join our small and dynamic team in London!

You would work with our consultants across our main two areas of work:

  • Impact evaluation: we help our clients understand their impact and how to improve. We do that using social science research.
  • Business and strategy advisory: we provide support for social enterprises and charities that want to diversify their income sources and become more sustainable.

You will be doing research, preparing briefings and presentations, attending client meetings, and supporting the team with business development as well as the general functions of running a small business. More concretely, your tasks include:

  • Creating a survey or conduct interviews to measure the impact of an intervention;
  • Conducting desk-based research on specific topics to inform clients’ strategy;
  • Reading and summarising documents sent by clients;
  • Producing first drafts of reports and briefings;
  • Analysing quantitative and qualitative data (with the support of our consultants);
  • Presenting your findings to clients;
  • Helping the team in developing new methodologies or critically consider new developments in the sector.

We are looking to hire for a full-time position, but we would consider flexible working. The salary range for this role is £24-27k (full-time equivalent, depending on experience).

Person specification

We will provide training and support for the right candidate to grow in the role, so we don’t expect you to have experience in a consultancy environment or to be expert in the social sector. What you need to bring is:

  • Strong interest in the social sector and social enterprises;
  • Willingness to learn about our areas of work (e.g. research methods, income generation) and ability to take on feedback;
  • Problem-solving skills (you are not afraid to try different ways of solving a problem and you can suggest creative solutions);
  • Relationship-builder who can act as a trusted representative of our firm and work;
  • Good communicator (you are good at sharing ideas);
  • Ability to work independently and take initiatives.

We want someone who is passionate about social change and about diversity and inclusion and is not afraid to challenge our team and clients to change the status quo.

We are a small consultancy, but we are committed to driving change in the social sector. Over the past years, we have been pushing the agenda around diversity in the social investment sector and introduced innovative methodologies.

Among other goals, we want the sector to better reflect and understand the people it sets out to serve and this change needs to start within our own team. This is why we are particularly keen to interview candidates from a wide range of backgrounds (social and economic class, ethnicity) and with lived experience of social issues.
