Welcoming TSIC’s new Analyst Sakshi Chandrasekhar

Tell us a bit about yourself

“I grew up in Hong Kong and lived there my entire life, and my lived experiences and the environment around me truly shaped my interest, passion, and engagement with DEI and social impact. Since a young age, I remember being involved in organisations that facilitated young girls’s access to education, and the rights of women and girls generally. Leading on from this, I decided to pursue law at university where I continued to develop my social and human rights advocacy skills. I was a Resolve Foundation Social Justice Fellow in 2019 on the issue of gender-based violence, and have spoken and written about gender and intersectionality. While pursuing my Master’s in Global Affairs at King’s College London, I continued to research intersectionality, now in relation to climate insecurity and its connection with gender-based violence. I’ve presented my research at conferences and spoken alongside world leaders!”

Why did you choose to work with TSIC?

“Prior to joining TSIC, I was working in Due Diligence and Investigations, however, I always felt something pulling me back to social impact and DEI. I was following TSIC’s work for a while and was impressed with the breadth of work and diversity of clients. Above all, what attracted me was how TSIC’s values are always foregrounded in the work they do as it reflects the authenticity I seek in my career.”

What are you most looking forward to?

“TSIC has a wide variety of projects and clients, and I’m excited to further develop my skills and generate sustainable and equitable impact in a consultancy environment. I’m looking forward to being a part of a team that is at the forefront of innovation in the social impact and DEI sectors.”
