Dr Sana Iqbal

Senior Researcher

Dr Sana Iqbal has recently earned her Ph.D. from the Centre for Arts, Memory and Communities at Coventry University and her research has demonstrated the significance of a bottom-up approach to research for empowering traditionally disadvantaged communities. Having previously worked in the academic world, charity sector as well as a local authority, she has extensive experience in conducting cross-disciplinary citizen-science research. She is motivated to work on evidence-based participatory research that can improve the socio-economic lives of communities through fostering equity, inclusion and diversity because she firmly believes that such approaches can foster power and confidence in local communities. She is also keen to apply her research skills to train her team members in creative and out-of-box approaches to conducting such research.
